Registration

  • Highest combined rating of any 2 active players in a match = 5.5

Pick your team and join the fun at this SAPC fall windup event.

Overview

  • No DUPR = More FUN
  • Format: Team play. Minimum 2 men and 2 women; optional two spares - 1 male and 1 female.
  • Schedule: Morning round-robin for seeding, followed by single elimination afternoon playoffs.
  • Matchups: Each round consists of 4 matches: Men's Doubles (MD), Women's Doubles (LD), Mixed Doubles 1 (MX1), and Mixed Doubles 2 (MX2)
  • Guaranteed Play: Every team gets a minimum of 10 games!

Divisions and Rating Caps

To keep games competitive and fun, combined club rating caps apply to active players in each match:

  • Amateur Division: Combined club rating cap of 5.5 (e.g., a 2.5 player + 3.0 player). Non-rated members are assigned a 2.5 rating to encourage new player participation!
  • Intermediate Division: Combined club rating cap of 7.5.
  • Pro Division: Unrestricted.

Team Spirit & Fun

  • Bring Guest Players: Non-SAPC members can join your team as long as they hold an active Pickleball Canada membership. (Captains must verify home club ratings and have their guests sign liability waivers at check-in).
  • Get Creative: Pick a clever team name and coordinate your outfits!

  • Fastest & Slowest Game Play (Round Robin)

Registration & Details

  • Team Fee: $100 per team paid by the team captain (Works out to just $25/player for a 4-person team, or $16.67/player for a 6-person team!)
  • Date: Saturday Sep 12 (Rain date Sunday Sep 13)
  • Registration Deadline: Friday Sep 4
  • Availability: Spots are limited--sign up early to secure your team's spot!
  • Check-in Desk Hours: 7:30 to 8:15
  • Team Captain:
    • selects the level of play being entered (Amateur/Intermediate/Pro)
    • enters their team name
    • provides the full names of their team of 4 or 6 players
    • identifies which of their team are members of SAPC
    • enters each player rating (SAPC rating, 2.5 for unrated SAPC members, or highest club level or other attained level for guest players)
  • Once you have all the above information, the Captain can register her/his team by selecting the Register button (in the email invitation or below) or by clicking on the event in our Tournaments calendar.
