Please note that as of August 11 (August 4 is a stat so no club play) DUPR play will happen only on Wednesday evenings. ALL play will be scheduled on Monday evenings starting on August 6th.

Thank you to the 73 players and captains who participated in the DUPR play survey over the month of June. We appreciate your feedback and additional suggestions! The full survey and a summary of the results can be found using this link.
Based on this feedback, our 2025 DUPR Play sessions will continue in their existing format, with the same registration/cancellation processes and game-day organization. The DUPR Play information can be found in the Alpine calendar on the Club’s website. Click here for an example.

We are looking forward to our next sanctioned tournament as follows:
August 15th to 17th: Three day sanctioned tournament 8:30am to 5:00pm

Tournament Committee - Call for Volunteers
As we are all aware, it takes a lot of volunteer effort in order to put on a Club tournament. With the date of our sanctioned tournament quickly approaching, we would like to form a committee of 3 Club members to help manage and administer our August, tournament. Hello valued SAPC members!
T-Shirts
As mentioned in previous newsletters, Club T Shirts for men/ women and ladies racerback shirts are now available to purchase in our online store.
It has been a personal vision of mine to see more of us wearing Club gear with pride! Our Club clothing is more than just apparel, it's a symbol of community camaraderie and the family we've built together over the years...thank you for helping to grow the spirit of our Club!
Ordering will close on July 24 at midnight; that will be the final day as I want the shirts done and ready for pickup in early August, so please do not delay!
I will be at Alpine at various times and levels to allow everyone the chance to view samples- colour options and sizing.
All shirts will have the new clothing SAPC logo included in the final price.
Men's and ladies t-shirts have the same colour options for those members who wish to match attire for tournament play.
Just a reminder that there will be no refunds, so please be certain with your selections (sizing chart provided).
Pick up location will be Alpine courts - dates and times to follow through email and social media.

Mentoring
We hope to have some mentoring sessions this summer. It will be dependent on getting volunteers. Once the volunteers are in place then it will be a go. E-mails will be sent out to all eligible participants prior to the event. Please also note the following changes:

We ask that you only register for one session per summer; only if the session is not full, the day before the session, should you register again
Alpine Clubhouse - Access to First Floor/Washrooms
From the Venue Manager:
Please be advised that the Club has negotiated member access to the first floor of the Alpine Clubhouse for the balance of the outdoor season. When this access officially begins, all members will be notified.
The facilities team has been working for the last few years on gaining access the lower part of the Alpine clubhouse which would give us access to two washrooms. It is with great excitement that I can share that this will now be in place by next week. Yippee! Yippee!! The Club will now be renting this area at a cost of $370.00 a month. It is crucial that we treat this area with respect, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the washroom area.
As such, it is of extreme importance that the following process is followed:

The entrance door to the area will have the padlock removed. It must be remain closed at all times. When you enter to access the washroom you must close it behind you. When you leave the room you must ensure the door is pushed close. The light will remain on. We are responsible for this area now.

The captains will open this area in the morning and lock it at 3:00 pm. The evening captains will open and close it again.
To keep this simple we will be using gel for hand cleaning so no paper towels are needed. This means we don’t have to have remove garbage or supply paper towels. It also means we won’t have to worry about having to use the port-a-potty!!
Each member is expected to be responsible when using the bathroom area! I am working on arranging for a thorough cleaning of the facility on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
This is such good news for the members Yippee!! Yippee!!
